Dorset County Show 2019 - Not Long to Go!
Following the success of the New Forest Show last month we are delighted to announce we are also attending the Dorset County Show on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September 2019. This show is a little closer to home at the Dorchester Showground (DT2 7SD)!
For their show this year, the organisers have decided to support the Dorset based Mosaic charity who support bereaved children across the county. If you are attending the show and want to find out more about what the charity do, or if you would like to make a donation you can visit their stand. The 2018 Dorset County show raised money for Dorchester County Hospital, enabling them to create a new department and new unit at the hospital.
Our setup for the show will be different to that of the New Forest Show as we will be bringing along a couple of sofas - perfect for a break while you’re walking around! And, one of our main features will be a reused, upcycled air source heat pump which we have converted into a coffee table. This heat pump was removed from a customer’s property and replaced with an upgraded system, so to stop the materials being wasted we have been using it in the office as a table. To find out more about the air source heat pump before you come and see us you can check out our webpage here.
We will also be bringing along a solar panel and a Tesla Powerwall for visitors to engage with and ask us plenty of questions about - so if you’re coming along be sure to get your questions ready for us! Daylight will also be bringing Redheat to the show - an energy efficient infrared heating solution - so if the weather is a bit nippy we’ll definitely have this on the go, so feel free to come along for a warm up!
As Daylight are passionate about the environment and renewable energy, feel free to ask us about how you can clean up your environmental footprint, ways to reduce your energy bills, the benefits of going solar or simply talk to us about any environmental topic you would like to discuss.
Some of the other companies exhibiting at the show include:
Annings. An environmentally friendly soap company who use British seashells into soap bars.
Naturally Rooted Gift. An artisan creator using the natural world to create gifts.
Nostara. A local home fragrance brand who create environmentally friendly soy candles, room fragrances and diffusers.
Burrow Environmental. Installers of wastewater treatment plants.
ICF Supplies. Suppliers of insulated concrete building materials and a distributor of Nudura products.
If you don’t have tickets yet but would like to attend the show you can purchase tickets on the Dorset County Show website. Tickets are £18.00 for an adult (over 16) and entry is free for children under 16 years of age. Tickets are also on sale at selected Tourist Information centres in the area. Alternatively, you can get tickets on the day at the gate for £18.00 for an adult (over 16).
If you are not able to attend, we will be keeping our social media updated by our team on the ground and will report back after the show, so stay tuned to our socials and our news page. But, if you are attending Dorset County Show 2019 we look forward to seeing you at our stand by the Main Ring!
